A
TIME
FOR
GIVING
On 2 December
2017,
the Raimon
Land
team
paid
a visit
to the
Sisters
of Providence
and their
charges
in Chiang
Saen.
The Sisters
of Providence
run an
orphanage
for hill
tribe
girls.
These
girls,
of Mon,
Akha
and Karen
origin,
have
had troubled
lives,
being
abandoned,
orphaned
or from
broken
homes.
The foundation
provides
for their
education
and care.
This year,
Raimon
Land
employees
each
chose
a girl
to give
a gift
box of
supplies
and a
Christmas
present
to. When
we arrived
with
the boxes,
the girls
were
very
excited
to see
their
names
on each
parcel,
and jumping
up and
down
eagerly
helped
us to
unload
the pick-up
truck.
“Today
is one
of the
happiest
days
of my
life”,
one little
girl
told
the sisters,
while
another
shouted
“You’ve
made
my day!
Thank
you,
thank
you!”.
They
wanted
to open
the presents
right
away,
but the
sisters
told
them
to wait
until
Christmas
Day.
“But
that’s
so far
away”,
the smallest
girl
said.
Raimon Land
would
like
to thank
each
employee
for taking
the time
and energy
to prepare
these
gifts
– thank
you so
much
for your
generosity!
